terrible honing - Flex Hones

I used this to make my little block mopar, it wouldn't hold on all 8 cylinders, the spring twisted and broke off, try another brand

Pros
  • Honing engine cylinders for deglassing engine cylinders from 2" to 7"
Cons
  • Short instructions

Broke immediately best in Laps & Hones

Clutch released after approx. 3 turns. I kept squeezing it, then one of the cutting stones broke off. It was badly glued. This put some dents in the cylinder.

Pros
  • WARRANTY AND SUPPORT: One year warranty. If there are any problems, please contact us.
Cons
  • So far so good

You get what you pay for

I rebuilt a 4 cylinder engine and used it to smooth out wall wear. On the 3rd cylinder, the flexible shaft broke out of the compressed counterpart. We could still insert the hone into the drill, but we lost that flexible part and we had to be careful not to allow side loading when moving the hone up and down. We basically wore the stones down to zero after these 4 cylinders were completed. I would say that for around $30 you get what you pay for. While it worked decently, it's a one-time tool.

Pros
  • Cylindrical Honing Machine with 3 spare stones 4" long and 220 grit. And includes extra 3pcs spare bricks for long lasting use.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
