What a goo party! I don't think these stones actually remove metal. Regardless, I must have shaved 1/16 inch off the stone while sharpening a knife! If these stones work, they certainly won't last long and won't stay flat for long. Very disappointing. The binder must be completely defective. I produced a ton of rock sludge with almost no metal. I felt like I was carving more stone than sharpening knives. I will try to return this item but poor performance is not a defect. They can sharpen a knife, but they do it extremely poorly. My advice is to find a better quality stone elsewhere.
