Am I missing something?

Edit: The screen is dark in most modes, but I have it in a mode where it looks fine now. Very happy with it. I have an Alienware 38 dw21 on it and this screen is a bit bigger/better. I like using it with my new MacBook, but why is the screen so dark? I'm switching from a similar monitor but the picture was much better/brighter. I connected it to the lightning cable that came with the kit. The screen is very dim when I've missed something. rise
