I finished one of the bookmarks and I really like it. (I started with pink and yellow vines.) The finished bookmark is much prettier than the picture shows. I would recommend this project to anyone who is at least an intermediate level beginner. The cross stitch didn't take long but the reverse stitch, satin stitch, french knots and turkey work took a few hours (about 15-20 hours total work including ironing and back side finishing. Although it could take a few hours). me a little longer because I've never made turkey before). There are two small issues that are easy to fix. The first problem is that the thread arrives sorted on cards. Once you pull out a thread, there is no way to reattach the thread to the card. I solved this problem by making holes over the flowers on the card with a small hole punch. (Actually, that annoyed me a lot less than buying a kit with no sorted filament.) The second issue is that the kit doesn't come with a backing for bookmarks. I used a piece of white felt and some fabric glue to cover the back and it came out really nice. Bookmarks are big. I wouldn't use them in a paperback, but they're perfect for large hardcover books. I actually gave the first one to my mother to use in her family Bible. After finishing the first one I can honestly say I would pay way more than they charge for this kit. The instructions are easy to understand and the quality of the final product is really good.
