These are serious cCubs

I have an index of 13.9 and am constantly improving with regular play and regular practice. Do four rounds in the 70s this year and everything else in the mid 80s. I was ready to upgrade to my Cleveland CG10 60 degree wedge and deal with uneven shots with my 6 iron. I continued to struggle with both issues by improving the mechanics, but gradually realized that this was also a racquet issue. Fate seemed to intervene when a guy from my golf group showed up with a Lazrus 58 degree wedge on Monday. It had a much larger footplate than my CG10 and I immediately realized that this could improve my game; and it was under $40 which made me nervous but I figured at that price I wouldn't lose much if I tried (I also tried to get in with my friend on the last pair of 3 that day and that convinced me to order it ) . If I jump ahead a week, I'm playing a par 5 that almost hit a two and I'm sitting in the left trap about 8 yards from the pins. I opened the Lazrus 58 with the ball slightly forward and hit 2 feet off the pin with about 10 feet of rollout. Drowned that I return to 4! What I understood is that the 58 was supposed to give me both ranged and melee abilities, while my 60 was questionable on longer sand shots and pulled to the left on shorter ones despite the adjustments. I've only had it a few weeks, but it's well built, well balanced, and performs right out of the box. I came home, looked for other offers from Lazrus and decided to buy 6 hydrides. The first attempt was for 135 yards, par 3, with two sticks in the face. I hit a small fade 141 yards from the back of the green. Too far but the swing was easy and the contact perfect. I have been sold so far. Let's see what long-term play brings, but if that's any sign then I'm convinced! By the way, I play Callaway XR irons and woods with 3, 4 and 5 Callaway hybrids, so I'm used to a quality racquet.
