This is a quality 12v outlet that I paid nine to fifteen dollars for and have installed several of them. The use of the front panel is optional. The rear tightening plastic swivel nut has 2 hooked lugs that can be ground down if additional lateral clearance is required for assembly. If you have a serious application they make a special twist lock connector to use with it, but it works fine with standard connectors on chargers, GPS etc. No flaws I've found.
