After a sore throat and coughing, I decided to sterilize my constant companion, my 40 ounce iron water bottle. Soaking the lid in bleach for several days and brushing it with a wire brush kept the mold from moving, and at that point I felt uncomfortable using the lid. I bought this set despite previous reviews suggesting it didn't fit my bottle but I'm happy to report it does. I didn't have to cut new straws, just sterilize and attach. TG. I've used a different cap and it was excruciating to sip from a 40 ounce bottle without getting wet. I am on a keto diet and try to drink 3 bottles a day and can add a bag of sugar free raspberry soda to my water once or twice a day. The mold growth was gross and really affected my intake as I usually average 120oz so it was worth buying 2 new caps. I hope they lower the price and omit extra accessories to encourage more sales when I buy another set.
