This is a very good device. I bought an Essential Phone PH-1 as entertainment for a family member who is overseas on business. She doesn't have internet access or cable TV in her place. With Straight Talk's unlimited data plan with Essential Phone and this adapter, she can watch her favorite shows on Hulu, CBS All Access, Peacock, or YouTube while she's away. no sound, no extra USB ports and I couldn't charge my phone while using it. Or worse, my Samsung Dex only works with Samsung. I have tried this device and I can tell you that I have crystal clear picture and sound from it. I am impressed with the output quality of this adapter. My first picture shows the device itself with a carrying case that I am not familiar with. The second image shows the Essential Phone connected to the adapter and playing ReDream. , the image on the TV screen is mirrored over it with the PS4 controller connected to the USB port. Note: The power supply must meet two criteria; (1) it must have USB-C on the end that connects to the adapter; (2) It must have at least the same power output as the Samsung Lightning Fast Charger that comes with the Galaxy S9/S9+/Note 9/Dex or later. If your power supply doesn't meet these criteria, don't expect any picture or sound.
