Advantages: - Cheap! - Compact - folds well Cons: - The main tensioner - a silver rod with balls on either end - fell apart very quickly. One of the balls fell off and can only be attached with superglue. (i.e. no threads, so it actually screws on). Definitely an indicator of general rubbish. - Dressing in general is not very comfortable - there is a certain cheapness in it. It looks stiff and at the same time not very tight. There's no slickness on the train, if that makes sense. You'll need some sort of sandbag or something to weigh down the opposite end of the stem if you have a significant weight mic. I installed it on my desk and there is a constant risk of it tipping over. This can be mitigated by changing the length of the bar extended at either end of the center, but then you don't get much reach.
