My Hoover WindTunnel 2 Bagless Rewind suddenly stopped working after 3 years. In fact I literally used it, unplugged it to bring it upstairs, plugged it back in but it wouldn't turn on. Replacement parts are not available as they have discontinued certain models. They said repairs start at $79 + parts. I found reviews for this product and I'm glad I found it! The new switch works fine! Here are some tips for rewinding the Hoover WindTunnel 2 - remember I never do electrical work and don't usually fix electrical appliances: - You must disconnect the wires from the switch. Another user says you can squeeze the tab slightly to remove it, but mine actually used the wires pressed against the pins and then taped them around. I carefully cut the case with a paper knife and then cut the wires with scissors. After the wires are disconnected, pull the switch out. Connect the wires through the shroud to the new switch. I don't have a soldering tool, so I threaded as many wires through a tiny hole, then put the rest on top of the pin, and then insulated the whole thing securely with tape. - Put the switch back and carefully put the case + screws back in place.
