These extra large zippers are perfect for travel. Sometimes I pack the essentials of a day's kit into a bag, which comes in handy when I'm just staying in one place for a day and moving on. Using bags this way makes it easy to put together an outfit without having to rummage through your entire suitcase. Even if I don't use panniers, I always use them to separate my dirty clothes from my clean clothes. Since the bags take up almost no space, I keep 10 or 12 in the pocket of every suitcase I use so I always have them on hand. I have a friend who would put a wool or cashmere sweater in a bag and after wearing it and airing it out, put it in the freezer for 2 or 3 days to ensure the moth eggs die before they turn into larvae that feed on hair and leave holes.
