Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Skechers Men's Afterburn Energy by Ryan Vaughn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not for those who are serious about performance but for a decent and great value shoe.

Mixed bag. One of the reasons I chose this model was because the picture showed a heel loop which I find useful when putting on athletic shoes like these sneakers. When they arrived (on time as always) there was no heel loop. I called to explain before returning, the rep was dismissive and didn't seem to be listening and said "don't worry you'll get the exact same model" which could be good or bad depending on that Picture was the wrong model, or changed the model, right?, no matter whether I applied for an exchange and received it, again on time, again without a cable. This time I contacted a representative who really listened to me, admitted there was a problem with the item pictured on the website and the actual model, and arranged another exchange. At that point I was too invested, I had to see it through to the end. Received my third pair on time again, but this time, ta-da!, heel-loop! The problem is that the loop is so small I can't even fit my first joint in it, making it almost useless for helping me put my shoes on. More importantly, the boot itself feels very stiff and quite cheap. A good running shoe should have a supportive sockliner, but should also flex where your foot naturally flexes. Not this one. They just don't feel like a shoe that could improve performance. So kudos to the supplier for the decent customer service, fast shipping and efforts to fix things. But you cannot rate a product higher than 3 that does not offer performance. If you are looking for a cheap pair of decent looking athletic sneakers these are the ones for you. But if you need to use them for footwork or serious sports/fitness, for example, look elsewhere.
