The bags are useful, but I think the size of the bag should fit the canister better. Due to its size, I had to fold the bag a bit to fit and the vacuum to work properly. It seems to me that the buildup restricts airflow and makes the vacuum cleaner work harder. This idea was proven to me when the vacuum cleaner overheated and suddenly shut off. I thought the bag was full but when I checked it was almost empty. Whatever bag was in the vacuum when I got it (used) it was much better and fit perfectly in this vacuum's bin and the vacuum didn't overheat or shut off suddenly like these new bags did. A NOTICE. If your vacuum cleaner (Eureka) overheats and suddenly turns off, please note that if you open the vacuum cleaner to remove the bag and leave the vacuum cleaner plugged in, it will restart automatically. I just want to say, be careful if you have small children or curious animals that stick their snouts where they don't belong, or even elderly people who can get through the day without fear of the vacuum cleaner turning on unexpectedly .
