We often wash new clothes and bedding before we use them. This was the case for one of the two pairs of socks in that order. With the pandemic it's getting busier, more stressed, more scattered and we just didn't have time to rush this order through so we missed the return window for the day. One day we took one of the couples to add to the laundry. I always remove the small, clear plastic fastener that holds the socks together with surgical care so as not to damage the fabric. The socks were washed and selected to wear after a few days. Once they were dressed, a hole could be seen in them. The hole was not from wear. I thought it might at least have been caused by a weak spot where the plastic tab was inserted, but I compared it to another pair of socks sticking together. The hole is not near the toenail and not in a place where it could be affected by the attachment. I can't believe this is really the brand of Dr. Scholl is of such terrible quality - worse than pharmacy socks! I would give the lowest number of stars if it seems appropriate, but two stars because it may have been an anomaly and we might have better luck with a second pair. I haven't tested the other pair yet. Sizing wise they feel a bit loose in the foot and not too bad for a snug fit, but everyone is different and there will still be those who might find them tight. However looser than the average top. It lists a size from 7 to 12 but probably larger for men 9 and up.
