Works very well, pumps out a good amount of air, makes enough noise to be heard in another room but not enough to be uncomfortable being. I have several dwc hydroponic systems running with this pump which gives me the air I need. The only downside is that one of the air fittings isn't working and 8 of the metal air fittings get hot so I'm switching to plastic to see how it works. The pump will get hot but as long as there is minimal air restriction you're fine, you don't want to block too much air from the air ports, 2 or 3 at most. Make sure the bottom right air intake isn't blocked as this can lead to overheating.
