I originally bought these for microwave popcorn, but bought them this summer when the birds came into my garden and snapped corn on the cob. I haven't grown much corn and although they managed to kill the early corn, maybe the late corn could have been saved. So I thought about using separate lids for each flask. I only had a small block with a packet (150 seeds) of seeds, so after fertilization I put one of those packets on each ear. She twisted and tucked without tying or gluing anything. The bags have withstood some rain and some very windy days. I've been harvesting corn for the past ten days and the paper bags have been PERFECT. You have to figure out how much corn is worth to you before you shell out money to protect it, but for me at least it was this year. All I know is that it did the job of saving the corn.
