Mine Cat Fluff had already smashed my chair and I was hoping this plastic sheet protector would help prevent the chair from dying in my house. The blade alone keeps the cat at bay, but it has to be used in combination with thumbtacks, which is a deal breaker for me. These pins are easy to install but fall out easily, and after realizing my cat might eat them and injure himself, I just left the plastic sheets without the pins. Needless to say, the sheets fell off due to the low strength of the glue. This product may work well for your circumstances but not for me. Pros: Plastic panels are easy to install and really protect furniture from cat claws. Cons: Adhesive backing is not strong enough, Hinged pins can be a hazard to pets and children, Hinged pins are an eyesore
