Review on 🏎️ K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Boost Horsepower and Performance 50-State Legal (1996-1998 CHEVROLET/GMC C1500/K1500) - Model 57-3039 by Daniel Pesicek

I decided to purchase this product based on all the good reviews I have heard about K&N air intakes. In my experience, this has not happened. Installation was easy and the result was great until I went to clean the filter. I found that the bottom of the box was rubbing the filter so hard it was rubbing holes in it. What is a filter for if there are holes in it? I cleaned the filter and put in a makeshift piece of styrofoam until a new filter came along. When I put the new filter in place, I placed the safety edge down where it met the box. In the first two photos the filter and the box. The third photo is a modification I made, nothing special just a safety edge. I would give it a higher rating but the fact of the matter is that the technical aspect of it is a complete failure. I am very disappointed and I hope that I will not have any problems with my engine in the future.
