What a great idea! We were looking for reassurance that our elderly parent who falls frequently could contact someone in our home if needed. Although she usually texts or calls us when we are in other parts of the house, we needed an emergency contact device that could be easier and more convenient than a cell phone. It seems to fill the need perfectly. We hung one call button in the bathroom and another either around her neck or on the walker she uses around the house. The three receivers are strategically placed so they can be heard anywhere. That way, if mom falls in the early hours of the morning, she has a way of alerting us all so someone can get to her quickly! We didn't want to pay a monthly fee and let random calls waste valuable police and ambulance time that could be needed elsewhere. Since mom is almost never all alone in the house, it works and at a very reasonable price.
