I bought this to replace an old (slightly smaller) Dell monitor that I liked. I've researched so many monitors - and it's quite confusing with all the different monitors available, similar specs etc. I'm an artist/designer and use Photoshop and Illustrator every day - and wanted to have something that was comparable to my old monitor and similar Characteristics. . I bought another first and the image seemed dull - lacking the depth of black I'm used to - so I returned it. I was looking for one with the best contrast ratio and this was higher than most (1300:1) at this price point. This monitor has all the settings I need, can be rotated to portrait mode when working on a tall mural, and has great color and contrast. This is the same as the U2720Q, with the only difference being that the U2720Q comes with a DisplayPort cable and the U2720QM comes with an HDMI cable. I don't use it for gaming, so I can't rate that aspect. The factory color calibration is pretty accurate, but I lowered the brightness in addition to a few other minor adjustments. The adjustment buttons are easily accessible. It seems somewhere between cheaper monitors and high-end monitors that cost $1,500 or more. It suits my needs and is good value for money.
