Our dog can now be kept on 10 acres. Setting the external flags was difficult as the GPS signal was not constant. It's a give or take of 3 yards or so. Our dog is an exceptionally fast and strong animal, so lagging behind is not ideal. The range is good. Battery charge is good. Just plug them in overnight. Setup was mostly intuitive and the instructions were easy. It would be easier to sync the collar to the monitor. Sometimes I see a paw sign on the monitor (the paw indicates the position of the collar when activated), but the monitor does not recognize the collar? All in all, I am glad that I have such a system for my dog. I love that you can set a buffer/alert zone and choose to vibrate, give it a nickname, or beep before it crosses the 'line'. I also like that the collar theoretically shocks a certain distance behind the line, but only for a limited time, and that it doesn't shock again when it gets home. We have flat land with a house and a shed.
