I bought these collars to attach bird collars to prevent my outdoor cats from killing birds. These collars are listed as removable. That is, if the cat gets caught on something, the collar will break and the car will be released. I have studied these issues in depth and see no obvious way to break away from them. They have bells which I would cut off as bells are used to attract predators and nothing I've seen scares birds. I will try to contact the seller before sending them back but at the moment I don't see them fulfilling their splinter mission.
