These fittings made it easy and allowed me to connect my water softener (spa) and iron filter (Iron Eater) to the hard pipe to keep PEX's clean look and feel known. I used to use 4 flexible pipes which honestly worked fine and probably flowed better, but this setup gave me significantly more room in my cramped toilet and I had no water flow issues. Now I've installed an iron filter, fabric softener, 40 gallon pressure tank and 50 gallon water heater and have enough space to access everything. Yes, the fittings have gaskets, I didn't oil them or use pipe grease or teflon tape (you really shouldn't do that with a gasketed fitting) and I had no leaks on the first try. My only concern is removing them when it's time to replace one of the components or if I need to move them for some reason, not much room between the hex and the crimp but being fully reusable really doesn't matter, if I then need to crimp a new pipe. They are worth the convenience and clean installation they offer. If you have a 3/4 inch piping system and want your filtration system to look clean and sturdy, this is absolutely the best option. PS Yes, the water softener is connected in reverse, I corrected it according to this photo. Yes, everything was fine, I barely started when I realized my mistake, I got into this project when I was too tired.
