This product works with several different laptops, you just need to swap out the head of course. I didn't want to spend $100 on an Asus laptop charger knowing I was going to be replacing my laptop so I bought this one instead. I don't really know how this affects the battery life of the laptop in the long run, but all I know is that it works. The only issue I had with this charger is that it has a blue light to indicate power is being drawn from an outlet. This light stays on for a few minutes after you unplug the charger, it doesn't turn off immediately.
