We put this in our old RV to make our bed more comfortable. The dining room seat cushions are the bed we sleep on and have lost much of their resilience. I ordered this to add to our bed to compensate for the old seat cushions. It really helped. I slept better and didn't wake up as often as on previous trips before the new mattress pad. It was definitely an improvement. But it's not a cure for everything. Finally, I have to replace the seat cushions. Here are a few observations: 1) They seem to attract dirt and show it very easily. So if you want to use it as a wearable topper like we did, you'll need to make a case for it like we plan to do. 2) A little awkward to pack. But again, it wasn't designed to be portable. 3) I would call a medium firm pillow. I was looking for a firmer mattress pad and this one is just about perfect in that regard. In the end I am satisfied with this purchase.
