Powered by popular Intel chip, speed and signal are "good ".

I decided to install it on my HTPC because I was trying different wireless settings to get the best performance from my home theater. Now that I'm home and watching a lot of content; It is important that my cinema has a good performance. I put this card in my HTPC (has a PCI-E x1 connector) and the performance is "good". While I understand that the x1 port has a maximum speed of 600MB/s, the best speed I can support is around 20MB/s, which is about 150Mbps. The average speed I get with this card is around 10 Mbit/s; However, Wi-Fi does not seem to remain stable. However, I can't really blame this particular card at this point. I don't think it's overheating or anything like that. At least the card serves its purpose, with the latest Wi-Fi chip from Intel.

Pros
  • practical
Cons
  • confusing
