First of all this is a great collar for the price. It is very durable and fits my 5 month old rottweiler great. Yes, there have been reports of skin odor and hair discoloration on dogs' necks. Discoloration occurs when the dye in the skin is rubbed off the fur. It's not dangerous and doesn't bother me personally as I have a dark colored dog. Secondly, don't think that it will magically make the dogs disappear instantly, this is a training process. If you don't teach them the tool properly, they're guaranteed to pull anyway. I suggest using this collar gradually. Help them understand linen printing. My dog did well with the simple snap of the chain as I adjusted while pulling. It was an audio queue that worked great for him and he picked it up very quickly. He used to pull like a tank, but after about 4 weeks of training with this collar, he can now move very well next to me. It takes effort, but I promise it's a great investment.
