Over the years I have purchased and used many helmet communication solutions from many manufacturers. So far these are my favourites. The JBL speakers sound very good and are definitely worth the extra charge. The devices are unobtrusive, easy to install and packed with features. I won't bore you with all the details, you can check the manufacturer's specifications. I've used them on a variety of trips, from solo to groups, urban and mountain. Now these are my favorite communicators. Pros: - Low profile - Excellent sound quality - Clear communication with very good noise cancellation - Full range of features for every need - Voice commands make most tasks hands-free - Integration with Siri and Google Assistant - FM radio - Remote control wheels Cons: - App loads slowly - Voice commands are not very intuitive. It's not a natural language, you have to pronounce the available commands correctly, otherwise it won't work. Sometimes the voice doesn't work and I have to connect the app before it works. The wheel button is great, but be careful when placing it on your helmet. If it's directly above your shoulder, you can accidentally press on it when you turn your head to the side or shrug your shoulders. Which basically stops everything you do. Not the end of the world, but can be annoying. Slide the helmet back a little further and you're fine - the range is good, but not great. But reconnecting is easy.
