Review on 🐌 SOBAKEN Genchem Planted Tank Planaria Hydra Killer - Safe for Shrimp, Fish, and more by Christine Chance

Highly Recommended

Turns out I had planarians in one of my shrimp tanks and couldn't figure out what was destroying one of my colonies. Having many different colonies and only one of them was rapidly declining. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this soon enough until one day I spotted a worm (now known as planaria) that apparently decided to snatch one of my adult shrimp that was in the middle of a molt. As I sit and watch a planaria eat a shrimp and change from white/clear to the jade green that was in front of me when that worm ate me. Shortly after, I notice a dozen or more emerging from the substrate around the shrimp while everyone else starts eating it until there's nothing left but the outside of its molt that it couldn't even get out of. It was a sad day that I found them disappearing and numbers declining, although I did see females with berries but never young which now explains why. In any case, I've tried a few other methods/medications that have been recommended to get rid of planarians but unfortunately they didn't work at all or reduced their numbers but didn't get rid of them completely. So when I was looking for something else to try before the entire colony was completely wiped out I stumbled across this product and to be honest my hopes of something that worked were pretty low after a few setbacks. So I decided to try it and now the planaria are free in the aquarium. We are seeing tiny baby shrimp now, as well as more and more shrimp reaching adulthood to breed. I recommend this for planarians.
