I make real Indian stone pipes. The use of this paper is an important process. I dip the tube and paper in a container of water and sandpaper about 10 times, then dip both to wash off the dust. If I don't do this, dust will accumulate and continue to scratch the pipe. I use a few grains of paper to make a tube. I cut the paper into 2 inch squares and attached a clothespin with the grit number written on the clothespin since I use multiple grit sizes.
