Some technical feedback.

*UPDATED* Within a month of using it - one on my jeep dashboard and one on my tundra dashboard. One of the blocks fell apart completely in the sun. Find out. The fabric part of the device has crumbled and turned into a dirty black dust, staining the upholstery, hands and everything else. So - long-term use - in the sun - like a solar battery. seems like a bad idea. I have ordered additional devices from another manufacturer. I bought two of these because due to Covid-19 my Jeep and Tundra just won't drive. And after a week of sitting, both batteries were dead. Both vehicles have aftermarket alarms, GPS, 4G hotspots, audio systems, amplifiers, etc. Even with everything turned off, it still draws between 1 and 1.5A. It was acceptable if I was driving every day. It's not good if cars stand still for a week! When I received them I did some testing on them so I could share information with others that I couldn't find before purchasing. Some details: - When idle in the garage (no direct sunlight) they produce about 12V. When connected to a 12V car battery I see a charge of about 0.5A. At rest in the sun (Summer, Southern California) the voltage jumps to 18 V. When applied to a 12 V car battery, when charging at 1.5 A, the voltage drops to about 12.8 V. The device continues to boost the battery by about 0.1 V every ten minutes. Eventually on 13.5. This is within the range that the vehicle would normally be in during operation. So I was able to destroy 1a and 1.5a on both cars.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • The list goes on.
