I bought this item because the description said it was compatible with my machine. I installed it which was very easy. From day one iMac started freezing. Yes, only at night when I'm sleeping. Within a week it started crashing during the day while I was working on the computer and it was causing a lot of delays in my workflow. I had to go back. I will buy another brand. Although this brand claims to be compatible with the Mid 2017 27" iMac with Retina display, IT IS NOT! DO NOT buy if you have this machine.
