Review on 💨 BLACK+DECKER BPT08WTB Portable Air Conditioner: Powerful Cooling for 350 Square Feet by Shawn Xayamonty

This is the first portable air conditioner we've ever had, so it took a hot minute to install. The hardest part was figuring out how to twist the pieces of the tube together properly so it wouldn't fall apart again. Once we figured it out it was fairly secure and easy to set up. We put the styrofoam in the panel instead of the window so we didn't have to add styrofoam to every window we wanted to use it on. There are videos on YouTube about this and I recommend watching them. We've been using it almost every day and night for a month and it's still working great. I swear there was a strange smell the first two nights but it's gone. I hate the bright blue light that's always on (especially at night) but we just put something over that part and it's no problem. Since we rarely change the settings (always 68 and under), it's easy to toggle it on and off without looking at the screen. The sleep mode is interesting. It slowly increases the temperature by a degree or two (can't remember what the guidebook says) for 6 hours and then shuts off. I have no problem with the temperature rise, just a pity that it switches off after 6 hours. The solution for us was to just leave it low all the time. It's noisy. As a light sleeper I now wear ear plugs at night. It suits me because it's nice and cool. The design and appearance are elegant and easy to clean. The remote control works great too. The farthest distance I've seen from the device is about 10 feet and it works flawlessly. We were looking for other, possibly more quirky (more options) options, but we're glad we chose this one. We ended up needing a block to keep our space cool and not leaking everywhere. It satisfied those needs. Cools very quickly, no leakage. At the beginning we tried everything superfluous, but we didn't need it.
