Review on 🚗 Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town And Country Rear Wiper Arm with Blade (2008-2015) by Aaron Cruz

Ordered for a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. In short, this is not a direct OEM replacement. If you want to save some money and have the tools/features to make it work, go for it. But it takes a little work, and you'll end up with a wiper that's about 1-1/2 inches shorter than the stock wiper. For the folks who said they had to drill it to fit, it could be because of the tapered aluminum bushing that is cast into the OEM plastic mount that remains on the motor shaft when the wiper assembly is removed. That happened to me. The plastic stock mount is cast around a tapered aluminum sleeve. a rod mount that contacts the motor's tapered shaft If corrosion gets on the shaft/bushing, tape them together like we did. With the help of heat (a compliment of the MAP gas torch) I was able to warm up the bushing. Then she backed away with a twist. Be careful they don't like heat! After removing the bushing this bracket fits like a glove. Next comes the wiper blade which comes included. 1 1/2 inches shorter than stock. you ask, right? Yes. I'm not sure how they can screw it up, but they send a short blade. So I put the stock blade back on (which has been on it for over 165,000 miles but still works fine). Finally, the plastic cap they send to cover the mounting nut doesn't fit properly. When it snaps into place, it falls backwards, causing the front of the lid to overlap the mount itself, giving the impression that the parts weren't designed to work together. To fix this I did two things: 1) shaved the material off the front of the hat (where the outline meets the mount itself); and 2) I removed a small amount of material from the tab in the cover (to the rear) that snaps onto the bracket. This kept the lid from snapping that far and made a lot of the angle problem easier. So if you don't mind a shorter wiper and parts to customize then this is your kit. If not, then I recommend looking elsewhere.
