I have used Sharkbites for plumbing jobs in many homes I have lived in over the years (retired military, relocated 6+ times as a homeowner). If you're making repairs and have limited access without tearing up the drywall or subfloor, these (and any shark fittings) are a lifesaver. I used them to install a new 1/2 FIP shower panel installation (Vigo Kingsley system). They did a great job and plan on using the other two to install the tub as they use the same inlet fitting. My usual use and first thing I do is quarter turn sink and toilet faucets and I've never had any problems. They are also great for installing a shut-off valve on water lines if you want to shut off a hose, parts of your house, etc. They were cheaper at Revain in a 4 pack than local and larger stores. so it wasn't for nothing!
