Review on πŸ”Œ Mini USB C Hub Adapter for iPad Pro 2020 / 2019, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Dell XPS - USB 3.0, USB 2.0 Ports by Eugene Cox

Ok, note that there is no pass-through charging, the internal USB-C socket should be standard

I know this is a stupid criticism because it was stated several times in the description , but only if someone - then he looks at the reviews and has not yet realized that he does not have pass-through charging. Otherwise a great little dongle, it doesn't block the second USB-C port on my 2018 Macbook Air (big win) and looks like a good dongle to slap (I don't carry around dongles with cables because they always snap too fast). Adding a USB-C socket inside is also super radical and will likely triple this little guy's lifespan (you can connect a USB-C to USB-C cable to this port and then to the computer if the other connector fails, and keep using a USB hub) and you can also connect it to computers via USB-C with a standard USB-A cable, which are widely used in this place (for charging Android phones and so). I just tried it and it worked great with the cable that came with the latest Android phone and my non-USB-C desktop. I know this is a borderline case, but when you're a family tech it's always nice to have options so you don't have to dig up an early 2000's USB hub every time your girlfriend (who only has a laptop ). 1 USB port - 2017 surface designed by criminals) want to use keyboard and flash drive. I will update if it breaks.

Pros
  • understandable even old
Cons
