Review on ⚡️ Seven Star ST-1000 Step Up/Down Transformer: Convert 220-240V to 110-120V or Vice Versa - 1000 Watts by Ian Krump

A very heavy transformer generates too much heat, especially in an enclosure built-in stereo! Bad ground rumble too!

Purchased to power a Denon EU stereo receiver (large, powerful, high quality stereo receiver) in the US. Input power outlet. I had to purchase a power cord adapter to plug the input side into a standard US outlet. Second, this transformer generates a lot of heat. You can't leave it on or forget to turn it off and go for the weekend! If you leave it in a closed cabinet, the heat generated will cook all of your components in the cabinet. Very dangerous. Over time, it can even start a fire if left on! The third and fatal defect: This power supply produces a very strong "background" at the outputs of the receiver and the loudspeakers. This renders fine stereo systems completely unusable. The rumbling of the earth overshadows the music. I was confused as I didn't know how a new power supply could cause severe distortion/hum in the stereo output (all input devices) so I figured my Denon AVR-A100 receiver had failed. I took the receiver and this defective new power supply to a stereo repair shop. They immediately called that everything was fine with the recipient! They used their own power supply (boost from 220V to 110V US) and no background noise, the sound was clear. Only the power source remained as a reason. I am stuck! I would avoid this product. If the manufacturer or seller contacts me about this post I will update it if it fixes this issue. Otherwise, the buyer is careful.
