soft fabric; looks like a dream! I can't wait for the baby to fall asleep in these sheets. Perfect for the firm Dream on Me 3" mattress which is designed for mini beds so keep that in mind. There were no unpleasant odors when opened and it was well packed in a plastic bag and cute pink box. Also sent a coupon for a 50% discount from the manufacturer. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I'm not sure how the fabric will hold up after washing. So far super happy with the purchase. Can't beat this deal!
