I have a 2006 Honda CBR600RR with the rear fender off. Luggage was quickly and easily mounted on the rear footpegs. I also carry a matching tail bag and when assembled they are strong and reliable. I had clothes, tools, my laptop and a gun for a week. There were four clip clips when I was at the hotel and my bags were in the room and free to race around town as a road bike. The only thing I could find bad about these bags is that they need a stronger zipper like the one on the tank bag. It doesn't take long to unzip. So when you pack your bags full, be careful not to pull too hard on the zipper tape. But overall, the best damn addition to my bike, they've put 2,500 miles on it in the rain, wind and high speeds and not even moved. I will never again have the thought "I want hard bags for my bike”.
