Works well but could use a fuse

I used this inverter to add some USB charging ports to my modified Rad Runner electric scooter. I simply cut off the end of the cigarette lighter adapter and plugged it straight into a 12v terminal block powered by a secondary lithium battery that I added to the bike (to power 12v car accessories). Works well and I rarely use 110V AC outlets so I plug them in with caps. 1 USB port allows me to charge my wireless turn signals and others are available for any other purpose of my choosing. My only complaint is that this unit doesn't appear to have any fuses at all, but it definitely has some sort of surge protection, because if I turn it on when the battery is above 14.7V, it keeps beeping until you turn it off, or until the voltage returns to the acceptable 12V range (anywhere between 10.9V and 14.4V). All in all I'd say for $20 it's a good deal.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Almost never
