This step is durable, easy to install and easily adapts to your door. Had an issue other than very poor packaging. Due to the position of my awning, my door cannot open directly onto the camper. This means that one of the latch bars cannot be fully extended to engage the side of the door. I found a workaround for this by adding a 1 1/2 inch piece of aluminum flat bar to the inside of the hinge side of the inner frame. This allows the right side of the ladder to snap into the closed position but clean the screen door without bending or scratching it. Hopefully this can help others who are in a similar position as the ladder locking mechanism requires the door and screen to be flipped to the side to make room. I love the deep top step. Much better than the flimsy retractable stand I had on my 2018 Salem.
