Old stock of deodorants

I bought this fragrance before and liked it, but now it is no longer made. That's why I was happy to find a discontinued Schmidt's fragrance on Amazon. Unfortunately, this also meant the product was old. The deodorant was very gritty and small pieces fell onto the floor when I tried to apply it. After about two hours the product was dry on my skin and felt like regular baking soda in my armpits. Totally useless. Very disappointed. (There was no use by date on the packaging.)
