My use case for this monitor is to plug it into a computer that I only turn on occasionally and turn it off again when I'm done with it. When I turn off the computer, the monitor stays on and alternates between different screen colors. The only way to turn off this monitor is to unplug it. Plugging it back in will reset all of your custom settings, including brightness, which will reset to 20%. So every time I use the monitor I have to go into the settings and reset the brightness which is annoying. The instructions that came with the monitor describe how to turn off the monitor by holding the button for 3 seconds, but that doesn't work and a support ticket confirmed that the only way to turn it off is to: to disconnect it from the mains. The speakers are adequate but a bit disappointing. Other than that I like the monitor and will keep it, but if I knew about the power failure issue I wouldn't buy it.
