Used for #20 anchor on a 14ft river boat. It is not an ideal anchor line for the weight to working load ratio. If you have a large boat/payload I would look elsewhere. It's thick, won't cut your hands, and holds knots well. For my purposes, a thick rope is enough to make pulling the anchor easier. Once you go 1/2 inch, never go back to 3/8 inch for anchors. I would use 3/8" for dock line where you need better knot ability, 1/2" is top notch for comfort. Went with red and white. Colored instantly in water as expected, be careful if you expect the color to stay true. Was $5 cheaper than any other color at time of purchase. A rope is a rope.
