My bike was almost silent with the stock exhaust so I wanted something I could hear but not too loud. With deflectors the sound is perfect! Quiet and noisy when accelerating, but very comfortable at speed. I had to cut some of the pipes and brackets off the stock exhaust which took some work. But if I bought medium whistles it would be much easier. As with any versatile product, get ready to get creative with your installation. However, I'm glad I saved about $400 by purchasing these instead of a custom install.
