Review on Durable Replacement Brush Bar with End Caps and Belts for Dyson DC07, DC04, DC14, and DC33 - #904174-01 by Mary Cole

When I first ordered this item it was listed as an OEM Dyson replacement but the part was damaged on the way to me so I am reordering had to. I rushed it because it was getting late so I reordered the same item from the same seller. I only noticed on the day of delivery that it was replaced with a spare part. The brush is fine but there is a problem with the straps. Both straps are thicker than Dyson straps (perhaps to compensate for inferior materials?) and are very tight, at least initially, they can loosen with use. The real problem is that the belt from the motor to the clutch prevents the free-floating head from floating (it doesn't stay in contact with the ground). After changing the belts and realizing that the head was off the ground I started disassembling the vacuum and the head would not come off until I disconnected the belt from the drive motor and as soon as I reattached it the same thing happened problem on. It loosened a bit with some use but I ordered another set of straps to replace them. For reference, I've been a professional technician for over 40 years and I was very cautious in my judgment before posting this review. This repair is for my Dyson DC 14 clutch model. Two stars for the brush, had it been packaged separately I would have given it five stars.
