I have a total of 4 floor plates to load 2 bikes into 2 different trailers and I have 2 different sets of mounting hardware. One had thicker, heavier thread screws and the other set had finer thread wood screws. Neither is worth a penny. Both sets are mounted on 3/4 plywood bases and both had to be assembled with screws and washers as the bolts on either base do not hold the panels. As far as I know, the bolts are for attaching the truck body and the screws are for attaching the wooden floor. You should not let them install without screws. I have used two bikes CRF250LR and WR250R for dual sport. The mounting system itself is excellent. With the CRF250LR you have to assemble the bike first and then quickly attach the brackets, but with the WR250R you can go straight to riding with the bike assembled. They are very strong if you use screws to attach the bracket to the ground. After that no complaints.
