I don't know how they perform on a motorized snowmobile, ATV or motorcycle , but they're great for my bike when I commute to work in Michigan once or twice a week. I'm getting almost 10 miles one way and as the temp dropped to 30(F) my hands got colder and colder. None of my gloves could keep up with the wind on the open roads I ride. I was researching a certain bike brand and found that their products are very expensive, albeit custom made (and probably fit better than these). Another cyclist offered to take a look and I decided to take a chance. I had to buy a set of spacers and cut a hole in the end of the left side to fit my mirror but once that was in place it was fine. I also use zip ties to push the end closest to the stem as close to the bike as possible, which prevents cold air from getting in in the first place. Since doing this, I've noticed that my hands get very warm while driving. I could probably do without gloves if it wasn't for the occasional need to drink water or give a stop/turn signal. I'm now wearing some of my lightest gloves and yet my hands feel warm enough that I feel like I don't need gloves at all, and that's at a temperature of just 18C. The hole isn't very hard to close even while riding but as some reviewers say they don't always keep their best form so it can be a little tricky. But for me it's not a problem. In general, I like them very much. I have a huge grip space so braking and shifting are no problem. I can't comment on how they matched automotive throttle bodies etc. but for me they were a great and inexpensive way to get me on my occasional commute during the cold Michigan winter.
