I ordered these compression stockings in both sizes because I'm right in between. I have had more swelling than usual in both legs and my right calf/ankle has started to swell lately. I decided I needed a smaller size after reading reviews from others and because some complained about the lack of compression. Although they felt good initially, my right leg quickly became irritated because it was too tight. Then I ordered the larger size which felt much better but still had just enough compression. They seem thicker than other brands I've tried and I reckon you can get a whole pack for that price. I went for the black ones with colored lines on the bottom and they are cute. I was nervous ordering the models because I didn't always like the feel of extra stitching on the socks. But maybe I'll try them one day. All in all, I recommend trying them out. I usually wear size 8.5 men's shoes, I prefer large/XL.
