The light switch on the back wall was broken and parts of it were floating around the sealed back wall. No damage to the boxes so it probably happened before it even left the factory. I soldered the pads to the board, turned on the backlight and I could see my Pi booting. The right 1/5 of the screen is a white box. However, this is without any changes in the configuration of the operating system. I'm glad it will display HDMI from a standard Pi without any tweaks. I plan to use it for field debugging systems and I just need a small screen that I can connect to any Pi.
